About The South Bay Homebirth Collective
The South Bay Homebirth Collective was conceived several years ago as a way to bring the homebirth
community together through education and support. In the winter of 2012, Hope Willems, Rowen Holland,
and Jacque Shannon-McNulty began brainstorming about creating a center where many of the
homebirth midwives could share space, collaborate and support each other, and help unite the community.
We found the perfect space in June and The South Bay Homebirth Collective opened it's doors on July 1st, 2013.
We are a group of six independent, licensed midwives, along with doulas, and other complimentary practitioners who have come together to offer holistic homebirth midwifery, well-woman care, doula services and support
for expectant and new families. Some of our practitioners also offer childbirth preparation classes
specifically geared toward homebirth - HypnoBirthing, placenta encapsulation,
Tips and Tools for an Active Birth, and other classes and support groups for the community.
We look forward to serving your growing families!
